This was a very creatively rewarding project and collaborating with Hollie took my art into directions I would never have gone.
The combination of drawings and photographs, along with the antique paper, have a definite Dave McKean influence. And the flowing hair is courtesy of my daughter, whose long hair I photographed against the side of our bath. Anything for art!
The cog shapes have playing card designs in them, a reference to Hollie’s lyrics. Some of the working drawings are shown below.
