A series of illustrations for a guidebook on St Martin's church, Guernsey. A combination of drawing the image by hand and applying digital textures to them. The guidebook was published in 2016.
While clearly based on the photographs I took of the church, the technique of adding grainy textures to hand drawn shapes, was inspired by the artist John Piper and the illustration style of Paul Julian, whose expressionistic work featured in such animations as 'The Tell Tale Heart' of 1953.
